Name: | Eli Delacroix |
---|---|
Location: | Illinois, United States |
Eli Delacroix, also known as the graveyard imp, is a young boy who has unknowingly been the subject of ghost stories and threats against small children if they're naughty almost since the founding of the town of Kaskaskia, Illinois in the early 1700s. After Marcus Delacroix, a journalist from Chicago, heard the story from a friend, he went to investigate the story in 1974 and ended up adopting the young boy after learning that he had no memory of a life before living in the graveyard and only knew that the impossible tombstone he stayed near was an important clue. Six months later and still having no leads as to who Eli or the person named on the tombstone is, a clue finally landed on their doorstep and now father and son have been thrown into an adventure that they should have never started.
Their clue, a photograph of eight men and women along with their names, led Marcus and Eli to Saint Louis, where they met the first person in the photo, a young man by the name of Jasper Keaton, son of shipping magnate Arthur Keaton. Dealing with the murder of his father and the threat of being killed himself, Jasper had no time for the reporter and his son's quest, but promised to assist them if they helped him find out who killed his father and wanted to kill him as well. Putting together the clues with the help of local law enforcement, Marcus and Eli found out who wanted Jasper dead and killed his father. With that out of the way, Jasper fulfilled his promise and told them what he knew. Eli, Jasper, and the others in the photograph were all known as Aspects, people who have magical abilities connected to a specific element with Eli himself connected to the element of light.
